Walking and Climbing: Mounts Errigal and Muckish at either flank of the Derryveagh Mountain range are ideal for walkers and climbers. Several organised walks take place throughout the year. A favourite walk is from the foot of Errigal to the shores of Loch Altan.Golf: There are excellent links courses at Falcarragh(3km), Dunfanaghy(12km) and Gweedore(12km).

Teach an Ceol, Gort a' Choirce: During the holiday season a Thursday evening session features local and visiting musicians and dancers at this local hall.
Cloughaneely Marching Band. Visitors can enjoy the regular appearance at Festivals and big days of this local treasure. The band has enjoyed great success at both a local and national level. The youngsters and their mentors are a credit to Cloughaneely
